Fuel Solutions Engineer – Greater Manchester

Key responsibilities

• Working with various commercial and industrial fuel equipment, including tanks, pipelines, pumps, gauges, monitoring systems, polishing, and sampling.
• Tank cleaning, fuel sampling, high-pressure jetting, commissioning and decommissioning, and remedial work on commercial fuel tanks.
• Preparing detailed site and survey reports (RAMS) and ensuring that all activities comply with all statutory health and safety requirements and the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Monitoring stock levels, such as PPE and equipment used.
• Fuel sampling and analysis, fuel filtering to the required specification, and undertaking site surveys and customer visits.

Required skills and experience

To be a part of our team, you’ll need:

• A valid driver’s license free of endorsements.
• Excellent physical stamina as this role involves lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
• Flexibility with travel, including overnight stays. Travel expenses and overtime paid.
• CSCS Green Labourer Card.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of relevant safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and under various weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable requirements:

• Confined spaces (High Risk) trained.
• Working at height trained.
• Previous experience in fuel tank cleaning, high-pressure hydrojetting or a related field.
