Meet Kate

Kate joined Crown Oil in 2015, initially as a Sales Account Manager, after already working closely with the business as an agency recruiter. Having seen first-hand how strong the culture was — and how positively candidates responded to it — she made the move in-house.

As Crown Oil grew, Kate’s background in recruitment and deep understanding of the business naturally led her to build and lead the internal recruitment function. 

Over the past 12 years, she has helped transition the business away from agency-led hiring to a people-first, in-house approach focused on long-term fit and candidate experience.

Today, as Group Recruitment Manager, Kate leads recruitment across the group, overseeing all roles and ensuring the hiring process is clear, inclusive, and built around genuine conversations — not CV harvesting.

For candidates, this means honest insight into roles, transparent communication, and a respectful experience from first conversation to final outcome.
